Rev Solomzi Ralo joined Sea Point Methodist church as the resident minister at the end of December 2015. Since joining he has worked closely with the dedicated steward to build a vibrant church that caters to all.
Without his extremely dedicated stewards, though, very little at SPMC would have been accomplished. Each of them has a portfolio for which they are responsible
Ministries of the 10:00 English Service
Pastoral Care
The portfolio is headed by Gaynor Fisher and Nandipha Peterson
This portfolio holds us accountable to this question from our vision: ‘Are we, here at SPMC, loving each other in mutual care?’
For more information about the different ways we try to care for one another, see this page.
Administration
The portfolio is headed by Nomaza Tonisi and Dawn Vuyelwa Mbalekwa
This portfolio is responsible for the careful and prayerful management of our resources.
Justice and Service
The portfolio is headed by Doug Austin and Sabelo Ndawule.
This portfolio holds us accountable to this question from our vision: ‘Are we, at SPMC, loving our neighbour in compassionate service?’ We certainly try!
For more information about the work of service in which we are engaged, and our various projects (Intyatyambo Community Project, Sea Point Methodist Church Day Care, Stop Hunger Now, and our mission trip to Namaqualand) go to this page.
Worship and Youth
This portfolio is headed by Samuel Dosu and Wilson Ngcombela
This worship portfolio holds us accountable to this question from our vision: ‘Are we, at SPMC, loving God in passionate worship?’
For more information about our worship, which is expressed in large congregational gatherings, small group meetings, and daily personal practice, go to this page.
The youth portfolio focuses on the youth development such as Sunday school to adult youth. Some of the groups are Wesley Guild, Young Men Guild and Young Women Manyano.
